Why are David Joseph of El Patio and Rob Smiling? Because El Patio is Reopening in September!!

Could there be better news for Tex-Mex lovers in Austin? Hard to say what that might be, but the fact that the beloved and iconic El Patio is reopening shortly is hard to top.

The closing night of El Patio was mingled with both joy and sadness, but virtually none of the family owners were prepared for the amazing and overwhelming response from the dining public. So the family made a clear and resolute decision … REOPEN!!!

The reopening is planned for sometime toward the end of September and will include lots of familiar faces including members of the generations of servers who had worked there. And you can guarantee that the Balon family will be there, as we have been so many wonderful times.

Welcome back old gal, and here’s to another 65 years!!!
