Gino's Vino Osteria

One of the long lost traditions from my old days of eating Italian food in New Haven (aside from authentic Naples coal fired pizza) was the congenial and seemingly ever present owner who worked the room like a Las Vegas host and virtually presided over every patron‘s table. You usually walked out of one of those places feeling pleasantly full but … well, important, like you were a VIP.

That mood has been lovingly recreated in Round Rock by Gino Catenacci and partner Mike Fradino (pictured above chatting up regular customers at Gino’s Vino Osteria).

The food at this recently opened restaurant is quite impressive, from their homemade pasta to their stunning Caprese salad. Not bad for a couple of guys from Detroit!

But this is not a formal review. That will come next. This piece is meant to pique your curiosity about what can be a very pleasing yet highly interpersonal dining experience.

So put Gino’s Vino Osteria in Round Rock on your to-do list and let’s talk soon!
