Taste of Austin a Rousing Success

Leave it to some enterprising students at Westwood High School to gather some of the best restaurants in the city for a rousing taste fest that thousands of people enjoyed. Such was the Taste of Austin at the Palmer Events Center. I was there and it was a blast. Pictured below are some of the 40 restaurants that provided fodder for noshing and grazing. And boy did we nosh and graze! Can't wait till next year!

Benihana's had some lovely tepan grilled meats for the noshers.

Green Pastures had a line in front of it all night.

Dan McKlusky's served some very tempting carpaccio.

The ladies from the Thistle Cafe were serving very tasty crab cakes.

Freda's Seafood Grille had a to die for cajun pasta.

A little love from your friends at the Cypress Grill on William Cannon.

Jorge and the gang were there from Curras.
