We had a blast last week as Phoenix Pai celebrated the opening of her new Tokyo Steakhouse (some have asked it it's a chain: no, it's NOT). It's in the La Frontera Shopping Center off Highway 1325 in Round Rock. Not too far from Krispy Kreme.

There are 12 tepan grilling stations along with a sushi bar. There's plenty of room and the atmosphere is inviting. From what we tasted, the food was quite good. Tokyo Steakhouse is open daily from 11AM to 10PM.

Visitors were greeted by a rousing Kabuki drum performance by an eclectic group of drummers.

One of the chefs whips up a mountain of fried rice: butter, eggs, scallions, onions, peppers, salt, pepper, oil, and of course, rice. And don't forget the show!
