Qui Segues into Kuneho

Paul Qui’s namesake restaurant Qui on E 6th is no longer. The Top Chef winner who had an admittedly tough year in 2016 shuttered Qui and is back in form and looks to make its replacement restaurant Kuneho into another one of his stellar Pan Asian restaurants.

Kuneho is now open for business with a somewhat different look on the inside. In an intellectual partnership with Mia Li, they have aimed for a small plates approach (which Paul always seems to come back to) featuring Japanese dishes with a number of international influences of course including his native Filipino cuisine. I hear there will be sushi and according to Eater, trout roe Migas. (Like the sound of that).

Now do you know what Dinguan is? Well it is a savory Filipino pork stew with a gravy made from pig’s blood, garlic, chili and vinegar. It will be on Kuneho’s menu and should turn some heads. So. Welcome back Paul. Hope you put the name on the building this time.
