The Oasis
This flyer says it all. I’ll be there with my family and then off to the golf course.

Cafe Blue
Two locations at The Galleria and downtown across from the convention center under the direction of the highly talented Ben Nathan. The Lobster Eggs Benedict may be the best brunch item in our city. And if that doesn’t work Ben’s clam chowder will make you a believer.

Hoover’s Cooking
Always down home delicious and and Hoover is forever on his game. I love this guy and what’s more you’ll love his southern comfort fare.

Dai Due
Right down Manor from Hoover’s this spot is so good it’s almost sinful. Their breakfasts alone are creating an entirely new chapter in the art of that meal.

Hill Country Dining Room at Barton Creek Resort
The good news is that this restaurant, under the direction of the talented chef Andre Naterra is open to the public, unlike most of Barton Creek. The food rocks and the view is absolutely gorgeous. Call 512-329-4000 for a reservation.

The Gnarly Gar
Take Dad out to the lake, actually on the lake. Austin’s only floating restaurant at Point Venture is way more than just about the view. Fresh shellfish from New England flown in daily and Todd Hynes and staff know how to put on a show.

Mattie’s at Green Pastures
The new showcase restaurant at Green Pastures is terrific and worthy of your patronage. And yes the peacocks are still strutting their stuff.

Kerbey Lane Cafe
Their new menu is up and running and Dad will love it. I’m personally addicted to the Chilaquiles. But it’s all great including those famous pancakes.

Trio at the Four Seasons
Austin’s enduring Brunch leader and for good reason. Elmar Prambs is that reason. He totally gets it!

Creek Road Cafe
This splendid find in Dripping Springs is as good a restaurant as you’ll discover in the entire city! Endlessly creative fare from Chef Chae. Worth the trip.

Chinatown
The Mopac and Westlake locations will be doing dim sum till 3 and then going back to their regular menus. Either way you can’t go wrong.

EurAsia Sushi Bar & Seafood
New Oak Hill sushi-European-Indonesian restaurant is beautifully appointed and serving up scrumptious ethnic cuisine. I’m becoming addicted to the place. Come see why and Dad will thank you.
