It’s still not too late to choose a dining option for Mother’s Day. Here’s a quick list, many of which include members of our new Top 25.


Always the best brunch in Austin.

Fonda San Miguel

Consistently the best Mexican brunch in Austin.

Dine at the Radisson.

David Garrido and exec chef Mario work magic at this place. Don’t pass it up.

Cafe Blue

If you haven’t tried the Lobster Eggs Benedict you are truly missing something. At the Galleria.

Barley Swine.

Bryce Gillmore’s new and much more spacious improvement on Burnet.

The District

Amir and Ali Hajimelaki have crafted a marvelous Mother’s Day brunch at Slaughter and Escarpment

Estancia Churrascaria.

Ironi and his staff have captured the best of the Brazilian Steakhouse atmosphere at the Arboretum. Huge salad bar as well.

The Oasis

To all the lingering naysayers I have this to say: the food is greatly improved and well, you know the rest. Beautiful spot to take Mom!

Freda’s Seafood Grill

Freda’s has been a must visit for Sunday brunch for years. Mother’s Day is no exception.

Hoover’s Cooking

Never a dull dish in Hoover’s kitchen on Manor. You love southern comfort cuisine then this is the spot.


I can’t get enough of this place. Modern southern cuisine but with THE best cornbread in the city. Yum!

Wu Chow

Stuart Tomajan and CK Chin have brought killer Dim Sum to W 5th.

Chinatown Westlake

Ronald Cheng and crew have the west side covered for Dim Sum and other goodies.


Thai fusion that’ll rock Mom’s tastebuds. This is a delicious restaurant.

24 Diner

If Mom wants good but casual then this is it. The Sweet Potato hash is the best in the city.
